Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Westlife’s Nicky Byrne will go Jedward for Wembley….no really!
Nicky Byrne has admitted that he will be rocking a bit of a quiff when he dances in Wembley Arena this evening.
The Strictly Come Dancing contestant will dance for a live audience of 6,000 people as well as the millions watching at home this evening and he’ll be performing a jive to Elvis’ Jailhouse Rock.
To honour the King, the Westlife star will be getting a new haurstyle though he does have a few concerns. He admitted:
“I’ve been asked could I go with a quiff, I’ll probably have to have extra stuck in but I don’t want a Jedward.”
Nicky isn’t as worried about his performance as some of the other stars as he has been on stage in Wembley a LOT of times over his career. In fact he has been in the venue so many times, that there is a cast with his handprint out front.
His partner Karen is terrified but Nicky seems pretty laid back about the whole thing and said:
“We have played there a lot with Westlife over the years and our hands are in concrete outside which is pretty cool.”
He added:
“If I get a moment, I will try to get back and see if my hands are the same size. It’s going to be great.”
Nicky tweeted last night saying:
“Fond memories lads 27 Wembley Arena pop shows !”
