Mc Fadden jets off with 'Fade Street' star

Mc Fadden, who has just recently spilt with girlfriend of seven years Delta Goodrem, has previously denied that there was anything going on between himself and the Dublin born DJ.

However, the pair were seen holding hands as they dined in an Italian restaurant near Bondi Beach.

Goodrem was recently spotted out in LA looking cosy with one of the Jonas Brothers.

Mc Fadden said: "It was positive. She looks happy, if she's happy I don't mind. She's on a date with a guy, she's got a smile on her face."

"If she's happy I'm happy. I'm a straight shooter. If I didn't like it I would have said something or cracked it on Twitter. I didn't mind."

The father-of-two continue saying: He said: "She told me about it beforehand, whatever makes her happy. But there's a warning from me, if anyone hurts her they're dead."

McFadden moves on from Goodrem

Former Westlife singer Brian Mcfadden has found love again following his split from fiancee Delta Goodrem - he is reportedly dating an Irish reality TV star.

The couple's seven-year relationship came to an end last month, and Australian singer Goodrem has since been linked to pop star Nick Jonas.

McFadden has now been photographed enjoying a trip to Australia with Vogue Williams, a DJ who shot to fame in Irish TV show Fade Street. The singer was snapped walking through Sydney Airport with the blonde beauty on Thursday.

Westlife returning to SA

Westlife are returning to South Africa in September.

The Irish group will join the likes of Watershed and Lianie May at the Deuriemikke Carnival on Saturday 17 September at Supersport Park in Centurion.

Westlife's success has been most apparent in their homeland and the UK although their repeated visits to South Africa underline their support base in South Africa.

The quartet - comprising Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, and Shane Filan - have released 11 albums and has had over 44 million sales up to date. They've garnered 14 number one singles in the United Kingdom, the third-highest in UK history, with their first seven singles going straight to the top of the chart.

The Official Charts Company announced that Westlife are the second biggest selling artist and biggest selling band of the decade, beating Coldplay in the UK with their 11million album sales.

A number of Irish artists including Jedward and Westlife played to an estimated 60,000 people at College Green in Dublin this evening.

The musicians entertained athe crowd ahead of a speech by US president Barack Obama.

Mundy, the Saw Doctors, the Coronas, Sharron Shannon and Imelda May also performed.

GAA commentator Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh introduced a number of prominent Irish sports stars to the crowd including boxer Katie Taylor, Republic of Ireland captain Robbie Keane, golfer Padraig Harrington and the Irish rugby team captain Brian O’Driscoll, who was carrying the Heineken Cup his Leinster team won in Cardiff on Saturday.

Actor Brendan Gleeson spoke of Ireland’s past and its present economic difficulties. “I am fed up looking at the ground, it is time to stand up,” he said to wild applause from mostly youthful crowd. Saoirse Ronan and Stephen Rea also addressed the crowd.

Earlier, gardaí closed access to the event with only those already in the queue being granted access.

There have been reports of pushing and shoving, a lack of gardaí and stewards at certain points and a crush near the top of the queue. There were also reports of people leaping over barricades. There are no reports of injuries.

People started queuing from last night at barriers at the junction of Parliament Street and Dame Street for access to the event.

First in the queue was Dubliner Adrian Kavanagh, who started queueing at 11pm last night. "I thought there would be a few hundred people here by the time I got there, but I was the only one," he said.

He was joined by Maeve Beecher from Cork who came by bus from Cork last night. "We got about two hours' sleep last night. We didn't want to be caught in a huge queue."

A large screen has been erected near the junction of South William Street and Dame Street for the overflow.

The Queen watches Riverdance, Westlife and The Chieftains at Irish music concert

After two days laden with historical and political symbolism, the Queen was treated to the lighter side of Irish life with a concert featuring some of Ireland's most famous musicians.
8:04AM BST 20 May 2011

The event, hosted by the British Embassy to thank Irish President Mary McAleese for inviting the Queen on the historic state visit, featured performances by Irish boy band Westlife, X-Factor finalist Mary Byrne, The Chieftains and dancing from the world famous Riverdance.

The 45-minute concert was also broadcast live on Irish television.

On Friday, the Queen will spend her last day in Ireland visiting St Patrick's Rock in Cashel, meeting English market traders in Cork and visiting a science facility before flying back to London on Friday night.

Dublin gets ready for Obama public event at College Green

WESTLIFE, IMELDA May and Jedward, along with actors Brendan Gleeson, Stephen Rea and Gabriel Byrne, will warm up the crowd at Monday’s public event for US president Barack Obama at College Green.
Sporting stars Padraig Harrington, Robbie Keane and Brian O’Driscoll are expected to make appearances, as are Sharon Shannon, Mundy, the Coronas, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, soprano Celine Byrne and Co Monaghan songwriter Ryan Sheridan. The event, described by the Government as a “public celebration”, was planned to last 90 minutes, but may be shortened. Some acts may be dropped.
Mr Obama is scheduled to arrive back from his visit to Moneygall, Co Offaly, during the performance, and will be introduced by Taoiseach Enda Kenny. He will be accompanied by first lady Michelle Obama, but the couple’s children, Malia and Sasha, are not attending as they are in school.
The event is open to the public and is free. Tickets will not be required. People have been advised to go early – security gates open at 2pm, three hours before entertainment starts.
The public should enter the security gates at the intersection of Parliament Street and Dame Street in front of Dublin Castle. They will have to arrive from the west or north as other access routes will be blocked. Adjoining streets will be blocked and car parking severely restricted.
Signs, banners, food and beverages will not be allowed, though cameras and mobile phones will be.
US secretary of state Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Mr Obama when he travels on to London on Tuesday.
A US diplomatic source said the visit, which includes his family homestead in Moneygall, was primarily a personal journey: “He knows plenty about his Kenyan side; now he’s anxious to know about the Irish side of his family”.
The visit will cause some air traffic disruption next week, mainly when Mr Obama arrives at Dublin airport on Monday morning and departs on Tuesday morning.
The Irish Aviation Authority said other air traffic would be suspended for about half an hour on each day.
It isn’t clear how many people will attend the College Green event, but the venue was chosen because it could accommodate crowds of varying size. Signposts, street lamps and other street furniture were being removed yesterday for the event.
